Hi, I’m Vanessa! I’m a Calgary-based wedding and boudoir photographer with a background in photojournalism. My approach combines candid moments with intentional posing, as I believe both are equally important in connecting all the dots. My hope is that whenever you look back on your photos, you remember how you felt, and what it meant to be there.

I spent nearly a decade shooting boudoir almost exclusively, and during that time I was reminded how much I connect with the storytelling aspect of photography. Weddings started as something that I did for friends and family, and over the last few years they’ve become a bigger part of my career; I’ve always loved documenting life in a way that feels authentic.

I’ll be the first to admit that I am very awkward in front of a camera, which is why I care so much about helping people feel comfortable in front of mine. You’ll never have to guess what to do, I’m with you the whole time.
